Some of the ways that social media has helped me is informing of the news that's happening. Due to the fact that I'm now a university student, I usually don't buy newspapers to read anymore. Facebook helped me with that because information and news circulate fast in Facebook. One person shares a video, link or news topic and I will be able to know the latest news, sometimes even faster than my family, who reads newspapers everyday.

Another way social media has helped me is by distributing knowledge.

As you can see, social media has helped me many ways to improve myself. It also makes gathering information and knowledge so much easier.

I am totally agree with you. Social media has a lot of things that allows us to self-learning and its the fastest way to do it, instead of asking people that are around us and waiting for the answer, we can look for tutorials online like you mention above. Plus, instructions given are much more clearer too.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't quite agree on you, dream. Yes we can look for tutorials online, but not every tutorials have clear instruction and some of the media were even misused by people.
ReplyDeleteThey might write "SPM revision" for the title but actually contain content that are 18 and above or even virus. (This is a real life example.)
Thus social media does have it's bad side, and I personally think that it must not be fully trusted.
I agree with you azuki, not every tutorials have clear instruction and some of the video are actually spams or prank for the people. Some of the video is being used to prank by putting ghost or monster shouting at the very end of the video just to scare the viewer.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the pages we find through google, some of pages is only to hit the page viewed rating.
Addition to that, some of the pages contained virus that might make your computer to get infected.
